Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan Engagement Opportunities
CARB staff meeting one-on-one with community members in Imperial Valley.
The Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan (Funding Plan) is an annual plan presented to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to propose how funds should be spent on CARB’s Clean Transportation Incentive projects and programs. The proposed Funding Plan is developed by CARB staff in collaboration with interested parties (e.g., community-based organizations, non-profit or non-governmental organizations, industry, etc.) and the public. Incentive projects and programs can range from e-bikes to zero-emission vehicles and semi-trucks to clean off-road equipment.
The Funding Plan is developed from June through September, with core collaboration time with interested parties and the public from June to August. Since there is a short window of time for engagement and collaboration, CARB staff plans to maximize this time by offering one-on-one meetings and announcing and planning them early.
If you are interested in a one-on-one meeting with CARB staff to discuss your needs, concerns, and potential solutions related to CARB’s Clean Transportation Incentive projects and programs, submit a meeting request. Meetings will likely be virtual but could also be hybrid or in-person depending on location, availability, and State travel funds.
Background
The Funding Plan is a blueprint for each fiscal year and details how to spend funds for the Low Carbon Transportation Program, the Air Quality Improvement Program, and related funds appropriated (assigned) to CARB in the State budget. The Funding Plan describes CARB’s policy drivers and vision for mobile source investments, eligible project categories and criteria, project funding allocations, project implementation details, and justification for these investments.
